Internal messaging error while deleting messages.

I was deleting some messages from my inbox (Outlook 2000) when all of the
sudden the following message appears: The messaging interface has returned an
unknown error. If the Problem persist, restart Outlook.

And I did, still the same. Tried detect and repair, no luck. My inbox is
getting out of control here... how do I recover from this internal error?

Hi,
sounds like a corrupt Profile,
please create a new profile to solve your problem!
