Hi Jane,
1- First please next time you need to provide more Information about the
product you want help for and the Operating system which the Product operat
on.
Come to you issue, this Error message connected to Microsoft Installer
(MSI), it could happen if you have your Office Suite not installed Properly
or Corrupt/damaged.
So first is, does your computer clean from Malwares/Graywares and Viruses?.
If you sure then read on, if not then do a scan with your Anti-Virus
application/Program.
2- Are you ble to open your Applications on Microsoft Office (.i.e. Word,
Excel, Access, Power Point..) without any Error or Freeze.
If you have Trouble then try Uninstall/Repair for MS Office, to do that
follow this:
Click on Start >> Control Panel >> Double Click on Add/Remove Programs and
there locate the Office Sutie and click on Remove, a wizard will ask you what
Operation you want to Perform
) Remove | ( ) Repair | ( ) Cancel.
Select Repair and let the wizard repar it for you.
Then try the printer, by the way do you have the latest Driver for it from HP.
If the above doesn't apply to you because your MS Office healthy and
Functioning Right (Perfect) then Proceed with the next >:

4- There is a Fix for MS Office on this link, but please look for the
Version which this Fix applying on it to see if your Version is included:

5- If all fail, try this Command to repair some damaged/Corrupt core
files/Folders on the Operating system:
Open Run >> Type in : sfc /scannow click [OK] and wait for it to finish
you may need your XP CD handy if it asked you to do so to repai the
files/Folders found by the tool.
Please perform each step (1,2,3,4,5) one at a time and you may Reboot for
the chnages to take affect.
