Intermittent movement of Cursor and Sound

I've got XP-Home, Sony Viao desktop. The cursor moves intermittently, or
stops-starts as I move it about every 3 seconds it stops for 1 second.
Affects the sound, whether music or listening to messages, it is a start and
stop sound every 3 seconds too. Only solution is to reboot computer, but
this is happening every day at least 5 times a day. Anybody know how to fix
this problem?

Sounds like either spyware / adware or a driver problem.

Get SpyBot and AdAware SE, both free, search GOOGLE for
them. Install, update and run them regularly.

Try booting in SAFE mode, see if the problem goes away -
if so it may be a driver issue.
