Interesting error - can anyone help

R

Richard

I am running XP sp2 - w/ 1 gig ram. I just installed Acrobat Standard 8 -
all was well. Today it automatically updated. Now I boot and get a page that
says Windows can't open file: 00014280.rbf - I tried to google the file
name - no help. I have to click cancel to get to the desktop. Each reboot -
I get the same error. Is any one familiar with the file? How can I stop the
error page from occuring - how can I get rid of the attempt to read the
file? Any help is appreciated. I called Adobe - a useless call as the
gentleman was unable to understand english at all. How frustrating!!!

Any suggestions are most appreciated....

Maybe try Adobe forums - a quick Google on

".rbf" file adobe

(ie on the file extension rather than this specific file) seems to indicate
this would definitely be an Adobe problem - there seems to be a whole
learning curve on .rbs and .rbf files out there!

Hi Richard , if you only want it for the reader , change to
Foxitsoftware ( one word ) ; smaller program , faster and quicker .
