"Interactive" presentations

I work for a small college and I have been asked by Admin. to create an
"interactive" presentation for the students. The main process is as follows:
Slide 1: student selects a program (froma list) and clicks on a command
button to continue
Next slides shown: it will depend on the chice made by the student on Slide 1.
This slide will hide/display command buttons to navigate to different
screens based on the student choices.

No data will be saved, they are just info. screens, i want to use PP (my
choice) because Admin. wants some animation on the forms.

I know I have to use Visual Basic, I have no problem with that, I do all the
school Access aplications in VB but at this point i am flabbergasted because
I do not know how to start.

Any help or any website that could guide me in the right direction will be
greatly appreciated.

From what you said I see no reason to use code (VB). You should be able to
do all of this with Action Settings for your buttons.

Thanks, by reading other threads I realized that also..

Questions:
Is there a way to disable the "right-Click" while the show is running? I
dont want a student being able to view the design screen.

Is there a way to "hide" the icon on the left corner that allows you to move
to a new slide?

Is there a way to run the show automatically once the student clicks on the
desktop shortcut pointing to the PP file?

Thank you for all your help.

Q- Is there a way to disable the "right-Click" while the show is running? I

A- Yes, the right-click pop-up menu can be disabled.
The setting is turned-off under the tools menu, options, view tab, show
menu on right-click. This is a user specific setting. You may have yours
turned off, but if I have mine turned on then I will see the menu.

Q- Is there a way to run the show automatically once the student clicks on
the desktop shortcut pointing to the PP file?

A - Save the completed file in powerpoint show (pps) format. <file menu,
save as, save as type, powerpoint show (pps)>

Double clicking an iconic shortcut, immediately launches the presentation.
However, if the user opens the file from within powerpoint, by using the file
menu, open command, they can still view the desing screen.

If you are going to use VBA iin PPT, there are lots of examples on the
PPTFAQ.com site. Search on the home page for VBA. I just pulled up
more than 100 articles there.
