Will someone please tell me why Microsoft added these to 2003. Did MS intend
for them to be used for the entire site or just for "special" pages?

I don't see where they "do" anything out of the ordinary, but then I'm
usually a klutz with anything new to me. Thanks a bunch!

To replace JAVA hoover buttons and to allow for customized JavaScript navigation buttons w/o coding by the user
They can be used anywhere in a page / site
- except within Include Pages and in Shared borders
(use the new Dynamic Web Templates instead of the above)
And if you don't like the stock images you can create your own buttons to use
