Intel Integrated Audio Shut Down

After start up the audio device is on but then at some point it shuts down.
I get no sound. The device manager says the device is "working properly" and
won't let me start it up per se. Any advice? THANKS!

Check to see if its muted. In the toolbar next to the clock you should
see volumn controls.

No that is not the issue. Thanks. It works fine and then "shuts off".
