"insuffiecient disk space" when installing new program

M

Ms_Ellis

I keep receiving an "insufficient disk space" message
when I try to install a new program that only requires
6.5 MB of memory. My computer says I have 34.1 GB of
free space and disk quotas are not enabled on my computer.

What is the programme you are trying to install?

How is your hard disk formatted? FAT32 or NTFS? Right click your C drive in Windows Explorer and select Properties.

Install immediately after starting your computer and make sure your anti-virus programme is disabled before installing.

Try cleaning up your system before you try again.

Download Adaware from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/ and use it to remove parasites.

How good is your housekeeping?

1. In Outlook Express empty your Deleted Items folder.

2. In Outlook Express run File, Folder, Compact All whilst OFFLINE.

3. Run Disk Cleanup. Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Cleanup.

Hope this helps.
