while starting the system the following error is comming

isass.exe -system error

"insufficient system resources exits to complete API"


it is not allowing to login in to the system.

A friend of mine has the same problem on his PC, not even a safe mode start is allowed....HELP ???

Yes, this is a tricky error, one that is difficult to recover from.
Start by trying a Repair Install which should preserve your programs
and data (although you will have to reinstall the updates). Here is a

If this fails (and I have to tell you I've not ever been successful with
just the Repair Install), then you will need to format the drive, clean
install Windows, reinstall drivers and programs from cd's, and restore
data from backups.

it is not allowing to login in to the system.
Sounds like you either do not have enough memory (< 128M)
or a corrupt installation. Install more memory or
do a Repair Install from your XP CD.
