Where might I get directions for the Customer Phone List form that is
generated in the Northwind sample database that Access provides for use?

I don't understand how to create the toggle alphabetical buttons that are
displayed at the bottom of the form.

Look up OptionGroup in Access (and in VBA) help.
All of those individual toggle buttons are in one option group
"CompanyNameFilters".
Clicking any one of the buttons activates the Option Group's
AfterUpdate event and fires the macro "Customer Phone List.Alpha
Buttons".

There has been a Northwind sample DB for every version of Access, so it
would be a good idea to mention the version you are using.

The Developer Solutions database, linked from
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/248674/en-us has good instructions on a
number of issues. Have you searched Help for "Toggle Button", or the
Knowledge Base, at http://support.microsoft.com?

Basically, using either Option or Toggle Buttons, attached inside an Option
Group, selecting one will unselect the other, if that's what might be
puzzling you.
