Can Access 2000 read Access XP Northwind sample tables?

I need some help. Monday at 8:00 am I am to give a demo on Access 2000
queries to newbies. They said to come in early and copy the Access 2000
Northwind sample files onto the student's PCs for their use. They only have
Access 2k and they don't have the Northwind on their computers. The secretary
in charge of the training room had never heard of it.
Right now I'm at home developing a demo using my Access XP and it's
Northwind database. That means I would be bringing in the Northwind sample
from Access XP and putting it on Access 2000 machines.
Will their Access 2000 software read the Access XP Northwind database files?
If not, can I get a copy of Access 2000's Northwind db? I could put that on
their computers and adjust my handouts/presentation slightly.
I just want them to have some tables they can read and use.

Right now I'm at home developing a demo using my Access XP and it's
Northwind database. That means I would be bringing in the Northwind sample
from Access XP and putting it on Access 2000 machines.

AccessXP defaults to saving databases in Access2000 format; it can use
either.

Check the top of the Database window - it should say either "Access
2000 Format" or "Access 2002/2003 Format". If it's the latter, use
Tools... Convert... Convert to Previous Version to save the database
in 2000 format. The students will be able to use it.

The only exception is if there's anything in Northwind which is
SPECIFICALLY a new feature introduced in XP. There aren't many such
features and I don't know if any are in Northwind.

In addition to John's advice, you might want to delete any Data Access Pages
from the copy of Northwind.

You don't have anything to worry about if you keep the file in Access 2000
database format, avoid the "SQL Server Compatible Syntax (ANSI 92)" option
setting, and the file compiles successfully after you install it on the
student PC's, but if it would ease your mind, you may download a copy of the
Northwind Traders database file that comes with Access 2000 from the
following Web page and install it on the student PC's:
