installing xp

if i purchase a laptop with no operating system, and i
purchase windows xp separately, how difficult id it to
install the o/s? will i need anything else?

You should have minimum requirements to run windows xp at least 64mb ram
but xp runs properly on 128mb full fleged. If you have OEM copy refer to
manual you got with windows xp.
