Hello

I would like to reinstall Windows XP Home on my computer,
and I have my CD Key, but I lost my original XP disc. My
neighbor was generous enough to let my borrow his XP Home
disc. My question is: will I be able to install XP Home
using a different disc but using my original CD Key?
Thanks
Ramy

If the type of CD is the same then yes. Otherwise no.

I don't want to say yes, but I have anecdotally heard of repair shops
re-building the OS with retail CDa with the OEM keys on the COA label.

If it's the same type of disk (Full, Upgrade, or generic
Microsoft OEM) as yours was, yes. If it's a different type, no.
