Hello

Can someone please help me, I've tryed installing Windows
XP (Home Edition) on a PC I brought of someone a while
ago and everything was going fine until a message popped
up saying something about drive:C partitioning and fat32
(whatever that is?) so I installed it on the drive since
it's the only hard drive on the PC, but when it rebooted
a blue screen appeared midway through the windows logo
with some messages about pressing f8 when I restart my PC
to correct a problem, so I tryed using each one of the
advanced options that appeared when I pressed f8 to fix
the problem but not one of them work so now I'm stuck.

when the blue screen appears at the bottom it's says

Technical Information:
*** STOP: 0X0000006F
(0X000000E,0X00000000,0X00000000,0X00000000)

Does anybody know what this means ? or how to fix this
problem? or even know how I could erase every thing on
the PC and then start again? any help would be most
appreciated.

Cheers

Alright man cheers for the link, I'll try and some of the
stuff it says and see if it helps

Hi

The site you refered me to has the same technical
information but it refers to Windows 2000 not XP, Does
this matter or do I need different info?

Usually when I see the errors 0x0blahblah...it is a hardware problem.
First thing I would try is disconnecting any unnecessary hardware from
inside the pc. Good examples of unnecessary hardware are 2nd cdrom,
zip drive, floppy drive. Might even want to go a step further and, if
possible remove the modem, sound card, and any other devices. Make
sure that you have atleast the video card, 1 cdrom, and the hard drive
connected as those are all necessary for the install of XP.

Good Luck
