HELP PLEASE

Hey I just got a new computer with WinXP on it. I was
wondering if there are any risks to installing XP on my
old computer from the OS disk that came with the new one.
Thanks.

One license, one computer, the way it has always been with all
Microsoft consumer OSs.
If you want Windows on another computer, you need to buy a second
copy.

You got two problems.

1 - XP, like all versions of windows from Win3.11 is licensed for only
one computer. You are not permitted to install it on two or more
computers.

2 - The version of XP that came pre-installed on your new system is an
OEM version. It is permanetly tied to the frist computer it's installed
on and can not be installed on any other computer. Even if teh computer
is damaged beyond repair. Also, Many OEM installs are BIOS locked to the
computer and will not install on any other. So, even if you tried to to
ignore the EULA, It won't install.
