I have a dual hdd system with win2k running on the smaller hdd. Recently
partitioned the larger hdd, formatting one of the partitions in ntfs (it's
now empty). I want to install win2k on this fresh partition, but when I run
the install disk from the existing win2k (on the smaller drive) only option
seems to be to replace that already existing win2k. How can I tell the
installation to go to this fresh partition on the other drive? Tried
running install at boot also, still no option to select this new partition.

TIA

David

To do a clean install, either boot the Windows 2000 CD-Rom or setup disks.
The set of four install disks can be created from your Win2k CD-rom; change
to the \bootdisk directory on the cd-rom and execute makeboot.exe (from dos)
or makebt32.exe (from 32 bit) and follow the prompts choosing to install to
drive1
