Installing Win XP Pro on New HD

Before, I was able to intall windows xp on the same machine multiple times
(meaning, I was able to activate my XP via internet). I happens because I
always encounter the "blue screen", so I format the HD then reinstall the OS.
So I decided to purchase a new hard disk and install the same windows xp.
But this I cannot activate my windows xp. I said some thing like.... it has
been used many times???

Does this mean that I have to get another windows xp installer for my new
hard disk? Please help.

Is it a RETAIL copy of Windows XP?
If so, just choose to activate by phone. You are permitted to install
Windows XP as many times as you like.

I suggest that you configure you system not to auto reboot when windows
crashes - control panel, system, advanced, Startup & Recover, untick
Automatically Restart.

Note the STOP code when it next occurs and seek help on how to fix that
problem.

Thanks Shenan, but how do I know if it's a retail copy? The CD was only given
to me by a friend. Can I identify it by it's product id? Product id says
something like 55274-OEM-0011903-00101.

Product id says something like 55274-OEM-0011903-00101.

It is an OEM. This means (according to the EULA - End-User License
Agreement) it is permanently attached to the first machine it was installed
on, even should that machine melt to slag.
