installing vmware

I need to install vmware where windows xp will be the host
and linux the quest os. My laptop is dual boot xp/linux.
What are the steps requried to accoumplish this.

man vmware and/or rtfm vmware. This isn't an XP issue.

Install VMWare under Windows XP.
From there, the VMWare documentation and the Linux distro's documentation
should be able to help you through the rest of the process.
