Is it true that having Win RAR installed has ruined my 3 + gigs download? Or

Winrar is a archiving application not unlike Winzip. When you
downloaded Vista it came as an .ISO file. WinRAR handles ISO files by
default unless you tell it not to therefore your download will be a
WinRAR ISO file.

Burn the ISO to a DVD then install it from the DVD.

You can open WinRAR and uncheck ISO in the control panel then you will be
able to see the ISO and not a WinRAR icon.
