Installing Video Drivers on Asus Pundit P5H (Intel 965 Chipset) Causes Restart

hey everyone,

just got this computer set up today and i'm having issues installing
video drivers. i have a chaintech geforce 7300le in the computer, as
well as the intel on board video. here's what happened: first, i tried
to install the most recent nvidia drivers. the process goes through
setup and it looks as if all is okay, but then the monitor will black
out and the computer will restart. i installed new chipset drivers and
tried different drivers for the geforce, and it seemed to work. then,
though, i tried to reinstall the nvidia drivers and had the same
issue, so i reverted back to the older, working ones. i hadn't found a
resolution when i went to install the drivers for the onboard video,
and not to my surprise, the same thing happened. i'm sorry if i'm
somewhat vague with this description; there isn't an error or
anything, just a restart after the video drivers installation process
seems to be finishing up. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Did you Disable the onboard video in the BIOS before installing the GeForce?
Did you Enable AGP in the BIOS if present? Most newer boards will automatically
switch from PCI to AGP.
Did you Disable the GeForce in Device Manager before installing the onboard drivers?
What's the Make/Model of your machine and motherboard?
