The intial problem started when I was unable to install a MIDI device on the
USB. Though I tried all the suggestions form the manufacturer when I tried to
install the message I got was that windows could not find the specified file.
The manufacturer suggested unistalling and then re-installing the USB port.
So I uninstalled theports, shut down, power-up and tried to reinstall the
posts. I get the same message "Can't find the file". I can see the.inf files
in the Windows\inf dir.
So the problem appears that I can't install anything. The USB MIDI device
was working fine for a long time.
Any ieas?
Thanks in Advance

Try this. Put their disk into the CD Rom. Plug your device into a USB
port.

Go to the device manager (Microsoft key - break gets you there fast).
Hardware. Device manager.

Find your device. Right click on it.

Click on Update Driver.

Tell it your driver is on the disk (you may have to tell it the right
directory).

See if that works.
