Hear Hear

(since this thread so long, I figured one more won't be too bad...

I wanted to say for every problem SPx apply you hear about, there is probably 1000 or more you don't

Its a wonder how everything works, considering the scale, the world, etc. (but to work is the expection, so the reward received is well earned my view

Time to put an end to Microsoft bashing, I think
I miss the days when the bashing had merit. (not really, but those days were fun

Thanks Jack -

Your suggestion, along with the suggestion from Dave, did the trick.

I renamed (too chicken to delete) the files you suggested (FYI - the msi.dll
is in use even in safe mode, at least on my machine). So I renamed the other
two and reinstalled the installer. Then, I tried to do the express install
which failed again. Next, I did the full network install (thx Dave) and that
worked.

Thanks everyone who posted. You've been a great help.

Thanks for the reply! I am glad to know you've figured out the problem. If
you have any questions in the future, please don't hesitate to post in the
newsgroup. Have a nice day!
