Installing SATA hard drive?

I have a Microstar International mainboard

Will Windows XP load without requiring SATA driver disks for this HDD?

Yes, you should have no problem. There is no such thing as SAT
drivers per se, SATA drivers are really RAID controller drivers.

Looking at the mainboard you speak, I see it does support RAID. I
you'll be going through the RAID controller, you will need to instal
the RAID drivers to function properly. Some don't need them if yo
plan on using only one drive. If this is not the case, and you ar
not doing a new Windows build, it won't boot

If you're doing a new Windows build, which I recommend anytime yo
install a new mainboard, install the RAID drivers from a flopp
during the Windows installation. The mobo package probably come
with one for that purpose
