I am trying to install Outlook 98 on Windows XP. It installs ok and downloads
e-mail ok, but when I try and send e-mail, I get an error with the windows
address book. If I try and look at the address book, I get the same error.

Thanks

Frank

Exact error messages and the mail transport are appreciated (Check
Help->About, second line for the transport.)

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, ffilz asked:

Ok, the simplest way that I get the error is if I click on tools->address
book, the exact error message is:

"An error occured while attempting to open the Windows Address Book"

If I try and send an e-mail, I get the same error message.

The transport is "Internet Mail Only"

Thanks

Frank
