installing outlook 2002

Can I install Outlook 2002 but leave the balance of my Office 97 programs in place? Will the connection to my office network remain the same?
 
Is another option running Outlook 97 and Outlook 2002 on the same computer? The former (97) is used at work, but I need the latter to sync a new pocket pc.
