Installing on CD-ROM machine

Would it be possible to install vista on machine that does not have CD-ROM?

And whats memory req?

Yes, I have installed Windows Vista through a network connection from
another computer, so optical drives are not required, in fact most
Enterprise deployments are done through network installations.
