Installing Norton AV 03 with XP SP2

I had to reformat my system, so did a clean install of sp2 after op system
install. Now, I try to add Norton AV 2k3. When i put the disk in, and get
their splash install screen, I click install, then the system tells me in a
window titled "Windows XP Setup" -- "Please go to the Control Panel to insall
and configure system components." Problem is when going thru the new add
software option from the add remove hardware section, it does not allow for
the true install to happen, and does not allow for the live updates and other
features of Norton AV 2k3. Anyone have a idea on how i can install software
without having to go through the control panel? OR am I better off just
going back to SP1?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You do not have to go back SP1. You should consider upgrading Norton AV 2k3
to 2K4 or 2K5. Both 2004 and 2005 can integration into SP2 Security Centre.
