Installing new XP Home Edition

I`ve purchased a new 80 Gb. Hard Drive and a new XP Home Edition
operating system for my HP e-pc 42 computer. I would like to learn the
instalation process.

Which "installation process?" That of the hard drive, or that of the
operating system?

For the former, simply carefully follow the instructions provided by
the hard drive manufacturer and the computer manufacturer.

For the OS:

Simply boot from the WinXP Pro installation CD. You'll be offered
the opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of the
installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of boot
devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
