I have just purchased some new software. I have installed it, but when i go
to run the program from the desktop i get the following message "System file
not suitable for running Ms-Dos and Microsoft applications" what does this
mean, i get given the option to then close or ignore either of which then
brings up a following error box saying that it was unable to locate a
particular file. How can i solve this, as i do really need to use this
software. Probably a simple task i know, but im a bit stook !

Any help appreciated

It would help if you said what software you're installing/tying to use.

Right-click on the icon, choose Properties and click on the Compatibility
tab. Check the Compatibility Mode box and change to Windows 98 or 95.
