installing new C drive

OK now I'm really confused.
I'm trying to replace my C (system) drive. I have used Ghost to coppy
the old drive to the new one. Now how do I change it's drive letter to C?
I am running XP Pro (full retail) which I just installed on the old drive
prior to the Ghost operation, but have not yet authorized. My intent is to
authorize it after I have completed the transfer.

Did you remove the original HDD and set the new HDD as master via
the jumper block on the rear .

As a footnote, some drives for some manufacturers require that you set the
jumpers to a special "single drive" setting. I know I had to set my WD drive
out of that and into the master setting when I installed a second hard
drive. Just pay attention to the diagram on the label of the hard drive and
you'll be just fine.

can't boot into the OS on what is now my D: drive. something like "NT scrool
missisn"
