Installing MS Works

I run Win XP Pro on a Compaq laptop, which came pre-
loaded with MS Works as the only word processing
program. I hve trouble sending docs. to other people,
all of whom use MS Word. I have a version of Word I'd
like to install, but can I do it over, or alongside of
Works, or do I have to uninstall Works first? Any tips
would be appreciated. Thanks, George

It should install alongside Works just fine. Indeed 'Works *Suite*'
comes with Word as well
