The installer aparently runs java virtual machine but at some point simply
closes and output a file with the error.

I have previously installed this app on a XPEmbedded image that I had done
previously. This is a brand new image, but I followed the same steps to
create it. the only difference I see is that I updated to FP2007.

Can anyone see what the problem is?? I'm I missing some component??

Thanks

Are you using the MT7 XPe driver?

I wasn't even aware that there was a driver for the 3M touch display. In my
previous images, after FBA I simply installed the calibration utility and
then made the master image of WINXPE for production.

however I found out that installing the java runtime and then instead of
running setup.exe, I ran the jar file and it installed successfully. so i'm
thinking I may be some kind of problem of interface between windows and the
java runtime that it extracts to temp folder or something.

Well thanks for the answer, I try this first thing on monday.

Including the MT7 driver did the trick.

I'm just wondering what happened from XPE SP2 to FP2007 so that the install
program does not work! but that' now academic!

tks mike for your help!

I don't know either. My images are usually so small that most installers
won't work anyway.

If you still need help look in www.xpefiles.com I added a component for
Microtouch were you would find also the calibration tool.

I had your same problem with the driver installation.

Bye

Tks, for the answer. I'm currently testing the drivers from 3M. If they
don't meet my requirements I'll try yours.
