hi chris
Thanx for your help..I went thru the article but i couldnt find the
Sysoc.inf file on my system which has to be modified in order to get the
option of installin IIS as said in the article on the 15 seonds website..
Any other suggestions please...

Hi

IIS cannot be installed on XP Home Edition - never mind what X internet page says. If you follow those details you will probably end up with a non-working XP hard disk/partition. To use IIS you will have to either upgrade to XP Pro or use a 3rd party program such as Apache - www.apache.org

Hi Will

Is that the only option??R u sure that u cant install IIS on XP home? Cause
i have an interview comin up and i just want to rechek them all by
installing onto my existing XP system i dont have a clue on Apache server, i
just know its a stronger webserver but i will be using IIS in my new job not
Apache ..

Thanx in advance.

Greetings --

Sysof.inf is a hidden file in a hidden folder. If you lack the
basic skill set to use Windows Explorer, you're probably going to get
in way over your head when you try to apply a "kluge" solution to the
OS. I hope you keep your backups up-to-date.

IIS is _not_ supported on WinXP Home. If you really need it,
upgrade to WinXP Pro.

I hate to rain on your parade, but how do you expect to land a job
creating/administering a web site and/or server, if you haven't the
first clue about IIS's operating system requirements? Maybe you
should set your sights a bit lower and aim for an entry level job
until you've more knowledge and experience under your belt.

Remeinds of a woman that came into Yahoo Chat one day asking us to
teach her DOS. She had just got hired at a new company by telling them
that she knew DOS. :) I doubt she had that job very long.
