Installing HP USB printer - new hardware wizard problem?

I have tried to install a HP Photosmart 7960 printer under win2k. The
problem is that the "found new hardware" wizard starts and then I get the
following messages "an error occurred during the installation of this device.
This operation requires an interactive window station".
I have no idea what this means, and after some time on the phone to a HP
tech, they told me it was an OS problem and to contact Microsoft.
The printer installs first time under windows 98.
Any help greatly appreciated!

Go to Start -> Run-> devmgmt.msc



Delete everything under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers"

Note: don't be worry about deleting them. Windows will automatically install
them.



Restart your machine and connect your Printer to the USB Port.
