Hi Coba:

If you bought a retail hard drive it came with complete instructions on
how to do this, along with a CD that has all the software you need to
get it done. For even more information you can go to the technical
support area of the disk manufacturer's web site.

Take you time and follow their instructions carefully...you won't have
any trouble.

Are you installing a second drive or replacing the one you have?

If it's a second drive, there's no software to install. Everything that was
installed will still be installed.

If you're replacing your drive, you will have to reinstall Windows and all
the other software that came with the computer. How to do this depends on
your particular vendor and computer. The vendor should have you given you
what you need to do this, but you'll have to check your manuals, whatever
CDs you got, and perhaps check the vendor's web site or contact them for the
details of how to proceed.
