Hi all,
Here's my situation. I'm running Windows XP Pro SP1. I
have recently purchased an APC Smart UPS 1000 which is
connected to my PC via USB cable.
I'm trying to use the native UPS management program
instead of the APC software. However, here's my
problem. I can't start the UPS services.
It comes back with an error:
Error 2481: The UPS service is not configured correctly.
According to the help in Windows XP, I'm suppose to
configure the UPS in the Control Panel. But, I tried
looking into the Power Options in Control Panel. I only
see the following tabs: Power Schemes, Alarms, Power
Meter, Advanced, and Hibernate. I do not see an UPS tabs.
Any ideas what to do?
Thanks
