Installing additional fonts

I have MicroSoft XP Office, small business edition
installed on my computer. I just discovered that I don't
have certain common fonts available (like Helvetica,
Univers, Times, Times Roman) and cannot find a way on
Office update site or my program disks to load these
additional fonts.

Can someone help me out?

Thanks,
Don

You can go to:

http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/default.asp

and find which MS applications come with which fonts. However, MS has done
some housecleaning and gotten rid of much support and mention of older fonts
and applications. I know that MS replaced Times Roman with Times New Roman
quite a few years ago. The other font names that you mentioned seem vaguely
familiar from either my Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 days. I don't think that
they are available anymore, unless you have the old program disks or CDs
that installed them on your old system, to extract them from. If you don't
have those old program disks or CDs, you might try doing a Google search for
those fonts, and you might find them either available as public domain for
free download, or contained in font collections that you'd have to pay for.
I have a dual boot system with Windows 98 SE and Windows XP, with installs
from three different versions of MS Office, and many graphics/publishing
programs, and NONE of the fonts that you mentioned are on either system of
the dual boot. I did however find Times on an old Windows 3.0 setup floppy.
