Installing Acrobat 6.0 on XP Pro

Not sure if this is an XP issue or an Adobe issue.

I downloaded Acrobat 6.0. It seemed to install OK, but when I try to use
it, Microsoft Windows Journal Viewer opens and I get an error message saying
that the feature I am trying to use is on a network resource that is not
available - it seems to be looking for 'Microsoft Window Journal View.msi'
in 'C:\DOCUME~1\Steven\LOCALS~1\Temp\IXP000.TMP\' as is having no joy.

It gets worse.

Whether I press 'OK', 'Cancel' or the 'X' for Close on the dialogue box (the
only options available), the whole cycle just repeats indefinitely and I
have to use Task Manager to kill it.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Steven

I have seen this behavior on several machines.
Un-install the journal viewer, then re-install it if you
really need it. If you don't need the viewer, just leave it off.

Many thanks - this was driving me mad.

I don't even know what the Journal Viewer is for, so I've taken it out and
Acrobat works perfectly.

Thanks again,

Steven
