Installing 2 OS on the same pc

Miguel

I have a PC with xp pro and the hard drive has two
partitions the first partition has xp pro and the second
is empty. I have installed w2k server on the second
partition which was fine. When I boot up my pc I get the
choice of the two OS (w2k and xp) W2K works fine but when
I go to load xp pro I get an error message saying:
windows 2000 is unable to start because the following file
is missing or currupt: windows\system32\config\systemd

I'm assuming that by installing w2k it corrupted the boot
record of the xp partition!!!

I would gratefull if anyone could give me any ideas on how
to fix this????
Thanks

Disclaimer: I'm a newbie at this.
Two OSes are supposed to work with WinXP's multi-boot
loader if WinXP is installed last. If you don't want to hassle with
re-installing your OSes, you might be able to rescue what you
have with just an edit of the two OS's boot.ini files. Take a look
at the recent posting "Multi-boot Windows XP without special
software" for some boot.ini syntax. In any event, please let us
know how you solve the problem.
