Installin XP

I decided to format my computer the other day. But
instead of installin Win98 on one partition and WinXP on
the other, i decided to just install XP Home Editon on
its own by using the six boot-up floppys. All six floppy
disks loaded and i was ready to install XP. It asked me
to put the Win98 CD in to check that i had it, then it
asked me to put the XP disk back in. It did a check on my
system and then the following message appeared:

"The following value in the .SIF file used by setup is
corrupt or missing:

Value 0 on the line [SourceDisksFiles] with key "SP1.cab."

Setup cannot continue."

I thought it mite b the disks so i created six new ones
and the same happened agen. Any ideas?? Thanks. LA.

Apparently, you downloaded the incorrect set of setup disks.

Make sure you download the correct set of disks. If SP1 is included with
your Windows XP CD, download the setup disks for use with SP1.

Is there a reason why you didn't just boot from the WinXP Home CD??

Booting directly from the CD gives the best success in installation of
WinXP. Try it if you can and see if this works for you.
