Installer loads after loading several programs

Hi,
I have been having this problem for a while now and i've been living with it
but it's just getting such an annoyance now. Whenever I start several
applications (2-3 of my regular programs causes this problem) a windows
installer also seems to load up. The installer is of different applications
which I have downloaded, some are and are not still installed. The biggest
annoyance is when it also loads up with MSN Messenger (at start up). Has
anyone else had this problem? Please help.
