Installer cannot install/update

[Information]

We are having problems installing a program and updating Windows. Both
point to Windows Installer.

I have tried re-registering the program, both regular and safe-mode, and get
"An event was unable to invoke any of the subscribers"

I tried manually uninstalling the program, and get "Access is denied"

Looking for advise on how to get past this. We cannot update Windows, nor
can we install the new version of our Accounting software.

How do you know its pointing to Windows Installer? What are the error codes
you are getting & what do the event logs say?

What version of the Windows Installer are you using? Current version is 3.2
& can be downloaded here:
