Installed SP2 - Security Center problem

I do not know if this is related or if there was just a
glitch in installing Win XP SP2...
I rebuilt my laptop and installed the antispyware beta
software. I then installed Win XP SP2. I have not
installed antivirus software at this point. When the
computer rebooted and up until now there is no check for
antivirus in the security center. It has the other 3:
Internet options, Windows Firewall and Automatic Updates.

When you say there is no check--do you mean that the fact that you have no
antivirus software installed is not flagged or called out by the Security
Center?

Is your machine a member of a Domain?

Yes, that is what I meant.
BUT ignore this post. This is the first time I installed
SP2 on a machine that is part of a SERVER network. I
looked up more on MS site about SP2 behavior and this is
by design.
So please ignore this post and thanks for the help.

Yup--that's why I asked whether you were part of a domain!

No problem--glad to see that folks are conscious of security issues and
anxious to get them right.
