Errors after install

Warren

I've tried to install the antispyware software numebrous
times but I always get the following situation. After the
install, on the next reboot, I get a Microsoft install
box. Then Norton antivirus opens a box about being unable
to repair previous installs. The Microsoft antispyware
seems to work fine but on every reboot I get the install
box. Does anyone know how to fis this issue?

I'm using Windows XP pro SP2

Uninstall the program, restart. Disable Antivirus and then proceed with
installation.

It looks like the error was caused by the MSOffice plugin
in Norton antivirus. Maybe the antispyware program turned
the plugin back on as I had it disabled. I disabled it
and things seem to be working.

You may also want to check that the issue is not with
Nortons.
I have had similar behaviour with Norton Internet
Security\Norton Anti Virus 2005 when you move the Start
menu shortcuts for Antivirus.

If you do move them, Nortons thinks the install is
corrupt and trys a re-install or repair.

I don't know why, but if you leave the Antivirus
shortcuts in their default location after install the
issue seems to go away.

Crazy Symantec guys!
