You can look in the Program Files (START | MY COMPUTER [Drive Letter] | PROGRAM
FILES) directory

or

START | CONTROL PANEL | ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS

Sorry, I find this question very confusing. perhaps it would help if
you explained what you wanted to do with the information.

Try running the program & see if it functions correctly.

Although most programs won't run at all unless they have been properly
installed, there are occasional small self-contained programs that can
simply be copied to the drive without installing, and that will work.

I want to make a backup file for all the programs I have on my PC (not the
basic ones like MS Office, Photoshop...) For this, I want to group the
program files which don't need to be installed separately from those which
need to be installed, for which I am going to save the install files and
keys instead of the program itself..

In the Software Versions section you'll see all of your installed software.
At the end of each entry is a clickable asterisk that will take you to the
folder the software is installed in.

Except for a very occasional small program, all programs need to be
installed to run. For that reason, backups of programs are generally
not useful unless they are part of an image or clone of the entire
drive.

I would recommend that instead of doing this, you simply save the
original media for *all* programs. If the programs were downloaded,
you can save the originally downloaded file, or worst case, if you no
longer have it, you could always redownload it when you needed it.
