I'd like to get rid of nuisance boxes that pop up now that
Office 2000 was installed from CD on the Dell 2400 I'm
setting up. It acts like it's trying to reinstall Ofice,
maybe. Otherwise, Office seems to operate OK.
When I log onto XP (as user), 2 or 3 little error windows
labeled "MS-Office 2000 Premium" pop up in succession,
saying: first, "The feature you are trying to access is on
a CD-ROM...." When I click through (Close) that, the last
little window says "Error 1706. No valid source could be
found for the product Office 2000. Windows Installer
cannot continue." When I close that, it seems to go ahead
and configure Office then be ready for business.
Why do these come up, and how to get rid of them?
