Installed but gets stuck

I have a windows xp client that remote desktops into a w2k sp4 server. The
term server is in admin mode. The xp client has a lexmark z515 printer
attached locally nd working. The server installs this printer ok on to what
looks like a makeshift usb port but when I print to it through the session
the job just gets stuck in the que........I've stripped it all out and tried
again and re-booted the server but it always installs but jobs just get
stuck, could really do with some help on this - thanks.

Do you mean that the Lexmark printer is actually autocreated in
the session, using a native Windows driver? They usually don't do
that.

If you installed the Lexmark driver on the printer, I would
uninstall it, and map the printer to a HP LaserJet 4 driver.
