I have the same Issue... I've tried 2 different burns of the RC1 disc in 3+
attempts, once was an upgrade from XP Pro, once as a clean install and the
last being a clean install on a new re-download of the ISO...

DVD loads up fine from Windows to fresh Partiton, or as a Boot Disc. Will do
the init reboot (after files copy, then gets like 20% thru expanding files),
then when it gets to "finalizing the setup" (last bullet point) the green bar
gets to 70%ish (what looks like 80% overall), then the screen turns totally
off and the keyboard stops responding (caps lock doesnt dis/engadge... no
CTRL+ALT+DEL reaction, cept occational HDD or DVD ping).... on reboot, setup
rollback is the only Vista option left...

1GB DDR2 677MHz RAM (2@512 SOIDIMM)
120GB 5400RPM SATA Drive (3 partitions, C:WinMCE 2005, E:Vista test
Partition, F:Docs/Files... D:DVD SuperMulti drive)
Intel Centrino A/B/G WiFi
Intel GMA950 Dynamic VRAM Graphics Adapter (8 to 128MB)
Internal DVD/CD Burner

Just an Idle note, it seems that the issue spans dual core Procs of Intel
and AMD... Jus a note...
