installation problem

Hello, I have a brand new computer (unformatted drive) and I've tried
installing XP of the CD. I almost get this message:
"INF file txtsetup.sif is corrupted or missing, status 8192. Setup cannot
continue. Press any key to exit".

Could it be a very old CD-drive causing this problem? I was unable to find
document about this "status 8192" in knowledge base, so any help is
appreciated.

Btw, is there a nice document containing all the possible errors' codes?

Thanks in advance,
Irina

Maybe. Also the CD could be defective. Try to copy the contents from
the CD to the HDD. If this works, try installing Windows by running
SETUP.EXE from the HDD.
