Installation problem with .cab files

I can't install any program that has a .cab file in it. I've reinstalled
windows a few times now but it keeps happening even with different versions
of windows home/pro. All of the different programs I try each have there own
version of the problem(different error comes up per program). All I know is
it always fails on a .cab file. I'm running a dual boot enviroment which i'm
pretty sure has nothing to do with it but i'm all out of ideas.

Sometimes your feeling is not quite right.
You need to look for some informations.
